| Text | The Bible Record, in possession of Dean Clock, was loaned to Don Weinhardt. It was shared with the editor by Mr. Weinhard, a member of the Bayport Heritage Association and the Register committee. The Bible record appears to have been written at various times, but with much data written in the same hand. The Bible belonged to George Washington Clock and his wife Georgia A. Smith who were married on 4 May 1869. The early dates had to have been copied from an earlier source or, in some cases, from memory. The first four pages have a dividing line down the center of the page and have been copied in the same form. The writer used the capital letters B & D to indicate births and deaths. These have been changed by the editor to b. & d. which is used throughout. The dates have been copied in the same form as they were written. | |
