Text | I found your entry on Ancestry.com for George Homan. I believe George's brother Charles married Sarah Emma Baker, b. Mar 8, 1852 to John Henry Baker and Mary Elizabeth Parks Baker. I am seeking information on where this Baker family might have been buried or any other records pertaining to John Henry, born Mar 5, 1816, Morwenstow Parish, Cornwall, Eng and Mary Elizabeth Parks. All I know of her is her father was W. David Parks as shown in John's Bible and she was born in NY. Three of John Baker's sons moved to VA about 1885 - Richard Parks Baker, David Henry Baker and John W. Baker. Remaining in NY would be Sarah Baker Homan, Mary Frances Baker Tooker and Maurice Baker. I have no data on James Edwin, Samuel or Grace Ann Baker who are in the Bible and early census records. I live in GA and have to hunt for this family by remote. Any help would be appreciated. David Henry Baker is my ancestor and he married Martha Jane Wood, daughter of Charles Wood and Catherine Unknown in Suffolk County on Mar 16, 1879. If you know anyone in NY working on these families, please ask them to contact me. Patsy in GA | |
