  [While IGI indicated that her birth surname was Floman, Chapman "Portraits and Biographical Record" indicated her birth surname was Davis. I have no idea of the source for the IGI entry, but I suspect that the material in Chapman was based on interviews with the subject, Charles M Woodruff, her son. I have therefore elected to use Davis.] [While I have recorded here that her parents were George Davis and Patience Corwin, based on an entry found at LongIslandGenealogy.com, I have not yet found any collaborating sources.
