  [This may be the Dorothy Goodwin born 4 Jan 1896 in Brooklyn, NY and married 12 Jun 1916. In the 1900 census they lived at 317 Hancock St., Brooklyn, Ward 23. Father was Gilman, b. Nov 1856, NY. Mother Josephine, b. Nov 1856. They had seven children, of which three were living in 1900: Maude E., b April 1880; Edith J. b. Sept 1881; and Dorothy b. Jan 1896. I was unable to read the original census record for 1910, but it is said to record Josephine A. Goodwin, age 52, widowed, living with daughter Maude E., age 29 and son-in-law George F. Dobson, laborer at newspaper, age 32, and grandson George F., age 8. Dorothy, age 14, was living with her sister and brother-in-law. While it seems likely that these census entries may be for Dorothy Goodwin, wife of Rea Irvin, I have not yet found a positive linkage.]
