Mrs. Marion Hansen Myhr, widow of the late Andrew F. Myhr, died in Brooklyn, December 12 after a brief illness.
Mrs. Myhr, whose home was in Brooklyn, had been a summer resident of Brookhaven for manyyears. She and Mr. Myhr were both public spirited and interested in all community matters. They were particularly interested in the Brookhaven Free Library. Mr. Myhr served as trustee, and Mrs Myhr as assistant secretary of the Brookhaven Free Library association for several years.
Mrs. Myhr was a member of long-standing in the Fireplace Literary club and her annual program on literature, or some form of art, which she gave for 17 consecutive years, was always greatly enjoyed. She was a member of St. James Episcopal church and of the Women's guild of that church.
She is survived by two sons, Herman Nicholas Hansen of Huntington Valley, Pa., and Andrew F. Myhr of Jacksonville, Fla., and six grandchildren. Interment was in Brooklyn. The family suggested that in lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Brookhaven Free library would be appreciated.
