John Rose, descendant of Robert Rose of Southampton and East Hampton, Long Island, married Elisabeth Rose, daughter of the Rev. David Rose ... of the Branford and Wethersfield, Connecticut, family. Thus, this marriage joined these two Rose families.... This Bible / Is the Property of / John Rose.
