11. DOROTHY WOODHULL, 3rd generation, born (???), was the eldest daughter and fifth child of the Hon. Richard Wodhull (II.), and Temperance Fordham.
She married William Helme, son of Thomas Helme (who was a resident of Brookhaven, Long Island, from 1675 to 1703).

(1.) Phineas Helme, married Mary Moffatt, of Blooming Grove,
Orange Co., New York. They had seven children:
Anna Helme, married (???) Helm, of New York City.
Temperance Helme, married a New York City merchant.
Emily Helme, married John Granger (a cousin of Francis
Granger, Governor of New York).
A third daughter married (???) Smith. They had
several children.
Woodhull Helm, born October 30, 1777, (the first to drop
the final letter from the family name), married first,
Eliza McDonald. They had three children:

Ruggles Helm, born July 2, 1820; married, April 12, 1845,
Sarah Ann Bass, of Prescott, Canada. She was born
in May, 1827, and died in the year 1856. He died
in December, 1877. They had two children:
Joseph Church Helm, (Hon.), of Denver, Colorado, born
June 30, 1848; married in September, 1881, Marcia
Stewart. They had no children.
Lucy J. H. Helm, married Clinton D. Winchell. They
had five children:
Lorena Marion Winchell, born January 20, 1869; married,
October 30, 1889, William C. Hocking. She died November
27, 1890.
Clinton Helm Winchell, born September 15, 1870, and
