[Based on census records, George N. Ashby may have immigrated to Wisconsin following the death of his first wife Laura, and remarried about 1870 to a "Jeanett." George N. and Jeanette were found in the 1870, 1880 and 1900 censuses. The children by his marriage to Laura are not recorded as living with him, however. Further research is required to prove this relationship.]
