Walter Werner Weds Mrs. Simon
Mrs. Anne W. Simon of New York and Chilmark, Mass., was married yesterday to Walter Werner, a widower of New York and Redding, Conn. Justice of the Peace Jeff Norton performed the ceremony at the Edgartown (Mass.) Court House.
The bride, a writer, is a daughter of the Late Maurice Wertheim, banker and philanthropist, and the late Mrs. Alma Morgenthau and a granddaughter of the late Henry Morgenthau, who was ambassador to Turkey.
She graduated from Smith College and received a master's degree from Columbia University School of Social Work. Her two previous marriages ended in divorce. Mrs. Werner has four children, Thomas Langman, Betsey Langman, Mrs. Philip Lilienthal and Mrs. Michael Lesser, and four grandchildren.
Her husband, son of Mrs. Isaac Werner of Bridgeport, Conn., and the late Mr. Werner, is a professor at Columbia School of Law and the Columbia Graduate School of Business. He was graduated from Yale College and Yale Law School. Mr. Werner has three sons, Robert, Daniel and John. His father was a tool designer.
