      Louis Langman—Physician, 87.

      Dr. Louis Langman, an obstetrician and gynecologist who practiced in Manhattan and in White Plains, died on Sunday at his home in Sagaponack, L.I. He was 87 years old.

      He died of heart failure, his family said.

      Dr. Langman was born in Camden, Me., graduated from Colby College and received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. In World War II he served as a lieutenant commander in the Navy's Medical Corps.

      He was affiliated with University Hospital in Manhattan, White Plains Hospital and St. Agnes Hospital, also in White Plains. Before he retired in 1977 he delivered more than 5,000 babies.

      Dr. Langman is survived by a son, Tom, of Washington; three daughters, Betsy Schulberg of Westhampton Beach, L.I., Lynn Lilienthal of Reston, Va., and Deborah Lessor of Berkeley, Calif.; a sister, Sylvia Brown of Deerfield Beach, Fla., and 11 grandchildren.
