Nelson, 87, widow of the late H. Ogden Nelson, died Tuesday at a nursing home in Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson began coming to Brookhaven for the summers in 1906 when they stayed with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Nelson, Sr. In 1930 they built a house on Beaverdam road now owned by Mr. and Mrs. George P. Morse. After her husband's death, Mrs. Nelson made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Norman F. Nelson. About two years ago she left to be near her daughters, Mrs. David F. Maxwell of Philadelphis and Mrs. John B. Rosenquest of New Jersey, who survive her. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
