Nelson, 84, of Mott's lane, Brookhaven, died Saturday in her home after an illness. Born in Sweden, she lived in Brookhaven for 31 years. She was the wife of the late Norman Fairlie Nelson. She was a member of St. James Episcopal church of Brookhaven and the Fireplace Literary Club of Brookhaven. She is survived by two sons, Alfred Nelson and Norman F. Nelson, Jr., both of Brookhaven. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday at St. James Episcopal church of Brookhaven, with the Rev. Frederick Chapman former rector of St. James, officiating. Cremation was private.
