• Notes

  Captain Charles F. Darling apparently had no descendants. The only child to attain maturity was William who died as a young man; William apparently had no issue. Captain Darling outlived his wife, and there was apparently no one left in the family to arrange for the inscription of his death date on the family memorial obelisk.
