Mrs. Lillian M. Newey, aged 77, died Monday at her home on Newey court, Brookhaven, after a long illness.
Born in Center Moriches, the daughter of Elisha and Matilda Haven Lamb, she lived there during her childhood, moving to Brookhaven over 60 years ago.
She is survived by her husband, Captain Samuel W. Newey; three daughters, Miss Jennie M. Newey of Brookhaven, Mrs. Louis A. Lukert of Moriches and Mrs. Mark A. Crosier of Sayville; two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Terry and Mrs. Emma W. Edwards, both of Center Moriches; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Raynor's chapel, Sayville, with the Rev. Harold G. Sabin of the Southold Methodist church officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Brookhaven cemetery, Brookhaven.
