Born in Brookhaven, Mrs. Ranken was a summer resident of this area all her life. She was the widow of the late George W. H. Ranken. Surviving Mrs. Ranken are her son, George Ranken of Brookhaven; a daughter, Mrs. Leroy A. Alexanderson of Garden City, and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at the Pettit Funeral home, Patchogue, the Rev. Hanington Wilson, officiating. Interment will be in Brookhaven cemetery at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
