BARTEAU Edward M Barteau, aged 80, of South Country road, Brookhaven, died last Thursday at Mather Memorial hospital, Port Jefferson [NY]. Born in Brookhaven, he was a lifelong resident of the village. He was a retired hardware salesman, and maintained a small bee farm for several years. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Gertrude J. Barteau of Brookhaven; a daughter, Miss Marie M. Barteau of Brookhaven; two sons, Frank W. Barteau of Texas and Edward B. Barteau of Brookhaven, and a sister, Mrs. Grace Corwin of Brookhaven. Miss Barteau and Frank W. Barteau are children by a former marriage. The funeral service was held at 2 p. m. Sunday in the C. W. Ruland Sons' Funeral chapel, North Ocean avenue, Patchogue, the Rev.
