  Bob Sweezey notes: "This person is sometimes listed as Thomas Reeves. There appears to be much confusion about the early Reeve(s) family on Long Island. Some sources claim that James had a brother named Thomas, and that all the Reeves from Long Island comes from the two brothers. There appears to be some justification for this theory.
