      John, in further examination I have found what I believe to be a discrepancy in the early POST genealogy as posted on the family chart on your web site:
      Generation 2 should be John Post abt 1650-abt 1687
      Generation 3 should be the John Post seen in Generation 2 and is in fact the "Captain"
      and from thereon it is correct. This will also solve the issue of why there was such an unusual generational spread of over 50 years. This is verified by Southampton historical documents and, dare I say it, Chart A, Appendix D on page 284 of the The Post Family by M.C. de Trobriand Post (in spite of its serious flaws in other areas including some outright fabrication by its contract ghost writer).
