• Notes

  He served as treasurer of the Bellport Fire District for 24 1/2 years after 8 Aug 1935. He served as Postmaster of Bellport, NY for nine years after his appointment 5 Jun 1913, when the Post Office was located in what became Grucci's Barber Ship. He served in that position until 16 Feb 1922. In 1925 he was elected tax collector of the Village of Bellport and re-elected for another one year term in 1926. He held the position of trustee, secretary and treasurer of Woodlawn Cemetery from 8 May 1924 until 14 May 1957. He was appointed Village Trustee 15 Jan 1943, and elected in Jun 1943 serving two year terms for 17 years. He was a carpenter and builder who helped build many of the local homes.
