GEORGE B. REEVES
The funeral service for George B. Reeve, 68, of Locust avenue, Brookhaven, a lifelong resident of the village, who died suddenly on Thursday while visiting his daughter in Middle Haddam, Conn., was held Sunday afternoon in Raynor's Memorial chapel, Sayville, the Rev. Joseph H. Bond, rector of St. Ann's Episcopal church of Sayville, officiating. Interment was in Bellport cemetery.
R. Reeve, who retired several years ago, after operating a boatyard for many years, was a charter member of the Brookhaven Fire department, and for the past 12 years was a commissioner in the Brookhaven Fire district. His wife, Mrs. Jessie Hawins Reeve, died 24 years ago.
He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Moody; a son, William, both of Middle Haddam; a sister, Mrs. George Gould of Bellport; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
