• Notes

  He was known as "King" David Hulse, because of his stentorian pronouncement that the "King" was coming (i.e., the Christ). To this day, the Hulse cemetery in Brookhaven Hamlet where David Hulse is buried is sometimes called the "King David" cemetery.
