(1.) Henry Strong, married Mary McDowell. They had seven
children. (See "Strong Genealogy.")
(2.) Vincent Strong.
(3.) Courtland Strong.
(4.) Rensselaer Strong, married Abby Seely. They had no
children.
(5.) Schuyler Strong, born in the year 1797, at Blooming
Grove, Orange County, New York. He graduated with
honor at Union College, in 1819, having been elected to
Phi Beta Kappa in 1818. He studied law with General
Daniel Cruger in Bath, Steuben County, New York;
was admitted to the Bar in New York, Virginia, Pennsylvania
and Illinois. Commissioned Quarter Master,
96th Regiment, New York, with rank from July 11,
1823. He married, December 22, 1822, Frances Minerva,
daughter of General Daniel Cruger, and Hannah
Clement. (See Genealogical Appendix, Strong--Cruger,
final note. Too late for classification.) She was
born December 7, 1806. They had twelve children:
Eliza Cruger Strong, born August 3, 1823; married, February
4, 1857, Henry Rutgers Miller, of Mount Morris,
New York. He was born October 11, 1815, and died
September 23, 1865. She died March 10, 1891. They
had one child:
Frank Schuyler Miller, born April 4, 1858; married, October
10, 1888, Mary M. Barnum. She was born January
25, 1864. They had one child:
Helen Barnum Miller, born February 16, 1897.
Selah Strong, died July 12, 1826.
Sarah Ann Strong, born April 6, 1825, died young.
Sarah Ann Strong, (2nd,), born July 17, 1826, and died
March 14, 1843.
Daniel Cruger Strong, born May 27, 1828, and died
August 28, 1838.
Annah Clement Strong, born December 5, 1831; married
Carl Wolf, of Brushsal Baden, Germany. He was graduated
from the University of Heidelberg; practiced law
in Germany, and came to America about 1848. He was
a member of the New York Legislature. They had one
child:
Franz Strong Wolf, born January 19, 1859; married
Agnes Smith Seely (a widow).
Lydia Shepherd Strong, born July 20, 1833; married,
July 10, 1855, James Faulkner Howell. He was born
February 23, 1826. They had seven children:
Edward Howell Howell, born August 28, 1856; married,
September 15, 1886, Mary Eleanor Robinson. She was
born July 8, 1862. They had three children:

Helen Lydia Howell, born May 17, 1890, and died September
1, 1890.
Robinson Howell, born September 25, 1892.
Frances Strong Howell, born May 31, 1858, and died
August 14, 1880.
Daniel Cruger Howell, born November 12, 1859.
Hannah Howell, born June 12, 1862, and died November
10, 1862.
Minerva Underhill Howell, born February 10, 1864.
Anna Clement Howell, born August 18, 1869.
Schuyler Strong Howell, born April 25, 1871, and died
in May, 1871.
Frances Cruger Strong, born July 13, 1835; married (3rd
wife), September 16, 1861, (Judge) Washington Barnes.
He was born in the year 1809, and died in the year
1864. They had one child:
Ruth Woodhull Barnes, born February 21, 1863.
Mary Ford Strong (twin of Frances Cruger Strong), born
July 13, 1835, and died in infancy.
Mary Augusta Strong, born July 1, 1837, and died April
24, 1843.
Catherine Illinois Strong, born September 3, 1840, and
died in September, 1841.
Ruth Woodhull Strong, born February 15, 1844; married,
May 22, 1872, Benjamin Dorrance (A. M., F. R. H. S.),
of Dorranceton, Pa. (then Kingston, Pa.). He was born
August 14, 1846. Was graduated from Princeton College
(now Princeton University) in 1868; admitted to
the Pennsylvania Bar, in Wilkes Barre, Pa., in 1870.
They had three children:
Anne Dorrance, born June 26, 1873; was graduated from
Vassar College in 1895.
Frances Dorrance, born June 30, 1877; was graduated
from Vassar College in 1900, Phi Beta Kappa in 1900.
Ruth Dorrance, born August 9, 1879, and died February
13, 1895.
