Streit, 71, of South Country road, Brookhaven, died Friday at her home after an extended illness. Born in Newark, N.J., she had lived in Brookhaven and vicinity for the last 15 years. She is survived by her husband, Louis A., son Donald D. of Bellport, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Maust of Brookhaven; and three grandchildren. Services were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at C.W. Ruland Sons Funderal Home, Patchogue, the Rev. Frederick I. Smith, pastor of the Bellport Methodist church, officiating. Interment was in Oakland cemetery, Brookhaven.
