Wendell Andres, 74, of 59 Northridge Street, Patchogue, died unexpectedly Sunday at his home.
Born in New York City, he lived in Patchogue for the past 10 years. He was a retired crane man for the IRT in New York.
He is survived by a brother John Andres of Patchogue, a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth McClellan of New Jersey and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 8 p.m., Tuesday at the Ruland Funeral Home with the Rev. William Hinlicky of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Patchogue officiating. Interment was yesterday morning at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brookhaven.

John G. Sandres, 80, of 59 North Ridge Street, Patchogue, died last Thursday in Brookhaven Memorial Hospital after an illness.
Born in New York City, he was a retired collector with Consolidated Edison Company.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, John of Patchogue and Christian of Blue Point; two stepsons, Edward Corrigan of Riverhead and Frank Corrigan of Ozone Park; one sister, Mrs. Lillian McClellen of Paterson, N.J. and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the C.W. Ruland& Sons funeral home of Patchogue with the Rev. Lammert Redelfs, pastor of thye Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Patchogue, officiating. Interment was on Saturday in Oaklawn Cemetery in Brookhaven hamlet.
