Mrs. Jessie A. Ellis, age 83, died at her home, 436 West main street, Patchogue, last Thursday. She was born in England and had lived in this vicinity for 25 years.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Harry Burroughs of England, Mrs. Nellie Wood of Landsdowne, Pa., Mrs. Queenie Beck of Patchogue, and Mrs. Ethel Hewett of California; three sons, William of Patchogue, and Alfred and Charles of Medford; and several grandchildren.
The Rev. Carl Gernannt, pastor of the Emmanuel Lutheran church, Patchogue, officiated at services Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Ruland chapel. Interment was in Oaklawn cemetery, Brookhaven.

Alfred S. Ellis died at his home on Mr. Vernon Avenue, Medford, Tuesday night at 9:45. Born in England 67 years ago, he came to this country in 1887. He leaves his brother, Sir William James Ellis of manchester, England, his wife Jessie Amelia, and sons and daughters: Alfred W., and Charles H., of Medford and William J. of Astoria, L.I.; Mrs. H. Burroughs of London, England, Mrs. J. H. Hewitt of California, Mrs. George Stone of Staten Island, and Miss Queen Ellis of Medford. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock yesterday with burial in Oakland (sic) Cemetery.
