Arthur, 49, of 13 Bell Street, Bellport, died at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital last Thursday after a short illness. Born in Brookhaven, he was a lifetime resident of this area. He owned hisd own trucking business. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Macauley Arthur; a son, Chester; and a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Hermus, all of Bellport; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Valentine of Florida; mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Arthur of Bellport; and five grandchildren. Services were held Monday at Ruland's Funeral Home, Patchogue, the Rev. Frederick I. Smith, pastor of the Methodist Church of Bellport, officiating.
