Marriage Records, Livingston County, Michigan, Book 1, page 10, shows Thomas Segar marrying Helen Douglas on 13 March 1850. He is 26 and she is 17. Both reside in Iosco Township. William Rector and Miles Collins of Iosco were witnesses.
1850 Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan census Shows Thomas Sigger as 26 years old and born in New York. He is a farmer. His wife, Hellen, is 17 and was also born in New York. Both can read and write. This census indicates they were married during the past year.
Living next door to them is, William Rector, 40, a laborer who was born in New York. Adaline is 34, Mary is eight, and Clark is five. All were born in New York.
1870 Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan census - Thomas is 46, Helen is 37, Royal is 18, and Amanda is 13.
Thomas Sager was a constable of Iosco Township 1848-1851. See History of Livingston Co., Michigan, Philadelphia: Everts & Abbott, 1880, page 260.
1880 Iosco Township, Livingston County, Michigan census has Thomas as 56, and Helen as 47. Living with them are Joseph Laible/Laeble, 34, and his wife Amanda who is 23. Erl J. (a male) is five months old.

Livingston County, Michigan Death Certificate, Book 2, page 98, has Thomas Sager dying on 20 September 1904 of pneumonia, at 80 years, five months and eight days. He died in Iosco Township and was born in New York. Thomas was a farmer and his parents were Edward Sager and Elizabeth Dotle.
State of Michigan Certificate of Death number 126, Iosco Township, Livingston County. Death date is the same as the county death certificate. He died of mitral insufficiency. He was 25 years of age when he first married, and was the father of three children, two of whom are still living. He was born 12 May 1824 and he was a farmer. His parents were Edward Sager and Elizabeth Dotle, both born in New York. He was buried in Mapes Cemetery on 23 October 1904. George B. Laible of Iosco was the informant.
