Mr. Stirling lived in Brookhaven for over 50 years and was employed as a paving contractor. He retired and moved to Florida. Mr. Stirling is survived by his wife, Edna of Sarasota; daughter, Ruth Krota of Illinois; sons, George of manhattan and Robert of Brookhaven; sister, Ruth Gould of Brookhaven; and one grandchild. His first wife, Norma Disher, predeceased him in 1987. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Lucia and Orlando Funeral Home, located at 326 East Main Street in Patchogue. A memorial service will be held tomorrow, Friday, January 6 at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, and would be appreciated by the family.
