Last Friday morning, Mrs. Jennie Macauley, wife of the late James Macauley and beloved Gold Star mother died at her home of a heart attack. Surviving are her daughters Miss Elizabeth Macauley and Mrs. Jeanette Schneible, of Blue Point, and Mrs. Ruth Rodde, of Brookhaven. A son, the late Edwin Macauley, died in the service of his country in World War I.

Mrs. Macauley, a former resident for many years of Brooklyn had lived in Blue Point for four years with her daughters and son-in-law, Bernard Schneible, at their Winthrop Court residence. Another son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Rodde, of Brookhaven, were also instrumental in caring for her.

Mrs. Macauley passed her 87 birthday last October and in spite of failing health had maintained a vital interest in all activities and current world affairs up until her death.

The Rev. I. A. Falk, of the Blue Point Baptist Church, conducted the funeral services from the Fairchild Chapel, Garden City, on Sunday afternoon and burial was Monday morning in Evergreens Cemetery, Brooklyn.
