"William S. Swezey - Middle Island, L.I., June 25 - William S. Swezey, an aged resident of this place, died Saturday morning after an illness of about three months. He was a direct descendant of the original Stephen Swezey, who settled here in 1744, and he occupied a part of the original homestead farm, which from that time to this has never been in other hands than lineal descendants, and for more than a century and a half has never been conveyed at all. Mr Swezey was 75 years of age and leaves a widow and five daughters."
