Gillespie, 80, of Montauk highway, Brookhaven, died at his home last Thursday after an extended illmness. Born in Ireland, he had been a resident of Brookhaven for 40 years and was a retired real estate broker. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Helena Gillespie; six daughters, Mrs. Clarence White of Southampton, Mrs. Byford Lee of East Patchogue, Mrs. Eileen Caldwell of Brookhaven, Mrs. James Fucci of South Haven, Mrs. Stephen Donato of Patchogue, Mrs. George Pusine [sic] of East Patchogue; two sons, Edward of Yonkers and Frederick of Brookhaven; 22 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Rosary services were held at 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Robertaccio and Sharp Funeral home, Patchogue, and were followed by a solemn requiem mass at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mary Immaculate R.C. church, Bellport, with the Rev. William Carr celebrant. Interment was in Brookhaven cemetery.
