| 1451 | [While there is uncertainty concerning the birth and death dates found on Lester's and Fanny's grave stone, it seems to me to be a bit more likely that the death dates are more likely to be correct than the birth dates.] | Smith, Storrs Lester "Rock" (I5198)

| 1452 | [While William resided in the household of John L. Ireland in 1850 and 1860, his relationship is unclear. At first blush one might say that he is John L.'s son, but other sources do not indicate that John L. had a son William. He might also be John. L.'s nephew, the son of his brother William; again, other sources do not indicate that John's brother William had a son William. Further investigation is required.] | Ireland, William F. | 1454 | [Who is Ann Eliza Gildersleeve? The 1850 Census indicated an Ann E. Gildersleeve (age 2) living in the household of Benjamin (age 54) and Mary (age 59) Gildersleeve. This child seems too young to be their child. In 1860, an Eliza Gildersleeve (age 12 same age as Ann E.), isiving in Benjamin and Mary's household. While another source indicates that Benjamin's son, Jonas G., had a daughter Mary A. E. Gildersleeve, it not certain that this Mary A. E. Gildersleeve is the same person as Ann E. or Eliza -- despite the matching middle initials. By 1860, Jos was living in another household in the Hamlet, with Jane, probably his wife. While it was likely that Eliza of the 1860 census was the same as the Ann E. of the 1850 census, it seems less likely that she was Jonas' daughter -- or in 1860 it would seem that she should living in Jonas', not Benjamin's, household.] | Gildersleeve, Ann Eliza ^ (I104)

| 1456 | [Who was the Bethia Hawkins residing in the household of Azel Hawkins in the 1850 census? Both Hawkins volumes do not give a Bethia or Elizabeth as a daughter of Azel Hawkins and Elizabeth Ryder. Nor do I find a likely candidates among Elizabeth Hawkins' in the Hawkins genealogies. Of course, the surname given in the 1850 census may be a married name. If she was Azel's daughter, he would have been about 17 at the time of her birth; there is also a discrepancy between Bethia's age as given in the 1850 census (46, <1804>) and Azel's and Elizabeth's marriage date (17 Jan 1808). Her given name was probably Elizabeth, with Bethia used as a nickname If she were a daughter, the nickname would have distinguished her from her mother. For now, I've included Bethia as a child of Azel, but this relationship is far from certain. ] | Hawkins, Bethia (Elizabeth ?) ^ (I433)

| 1467 | [woodhull.GED] [new.ged] He taught school and was a merchant in Ontario for many years before buying a farm south of Brandon, manitoba in 1883. In 1891 he moved to hartney, Manitoba and for some years was associated as bookkeeper wit his eldest son, Dr. F.B. Woodhull, who had bought a drug store there taht same year. In 1895 the Rural Municipality of Cameron was incorporated and Mr. Woohull was appointed Secretary-Treasurer at a salary of $200.00 a year and he provided his own office over the drug store! He had never aspired to public office but he found this association with local governmect very satisfying. In 1905 the town of Hartney was incorperated and he was appointed its Secretary-treasurer also, contiuing in these offices untill his death in 1930. He was a quiet man rather reserved except with his wife and family to whom he was devoted. He and his wife were Methodists and fond of music and literature. They took pains to provide each of their children with a good education. Mr. Woodhull took a great interest in the Hartney Star, founded in 1895 by his son, Dr. Woodhull. | Woodhull, Truman Benjamin (I17721)
